The Justice Team is using a new method to select the partners for Share the Plate for the year starting July 1st.
Previously the partners were selected by the Justice Team. In the new approach, members of the congregation will have the opportunity to vote for their preference. After the service on May 26th, June 2nd, and June 7th there will be a poster listing the candidates at the front of the sanctuary. These candidates are those we have supported recently, and an additional one nominated by a member.
You will be given ten sticky dots to place against the partners of your choice. Another poster will explain the process in more detail and list a set of categories. The Justice Team will ensure that only two partners are selected from each category.
We hope that this process will encourage participation. We will see.
