Chair, Stewardship Team
One of the rewards of being on the Stewardship Team is witnessing first-hand the generosity of our community each year at pledge time. As we receive each of your pledges, we are grateful for your commitment to “keep our river flowing.”
As of the close of this year’s campaign in April, we have received 60% of expected pledges. This is a respectable number, but it means that 40% of our membership still have not returned their pledge documents. That is not such a good number. To develop UUCM’s 2022-2023 budget, the Finance Team needs the full picture of what we will have to work with: we need 100% of the pledges returned. With all our pledges in, we will be able to move toward our goals: grow with technology, hire sufficient staff, and support and increase the impact of our Social Justice Team’s in the wider community. Without them, we will not be prepared to carry out plans or deal with unexpected challenges.
