The Wizard of Oughts: A.I. Meets H.I.
Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains
July 14, 2024
Randy McKea, Worship Associate
with the UUCM Humanism Discussion Group
Due to several technical difficulties preceding and during the service, there is no recording available. We will not speculate as to whether the issues were caused by humans or our AI helpers, but we do apologize for the inconvenience. You may try asking ChatGPT to recreate the experience using the Order of Service below…
The seeming ubiquity of ChatGPT and other “smart” computer programs in our daily lives has got Worship Associate Randy McKean wondering are we really at the Dawn of a Computer Apocalypse? Will Artificial Intelligence soon be in charge, or are we humans still running the show? Randy has recruited UUCM’s Humanism Discussion Group—they who ask “What’s worth talking about? How do we decide What? What makes it worth talking about?”—to bring their human- and nature-centered perspectives to this morning’s service and help us look at What’s behind the curtain.
